You will learn the lifesaving skills of a firefighter. You will experience a live burn, climb ladders, pry open doors, cut apart vehicles, operate equipment, use a self-contained breathing apparatus, perform first aid, and learn how to search for victims in a smoke-filled environment You will learn about the turnout gear, tools, and safety equipment firefighters use. You will learn the life skills necessary to learn and work alongside some of the most talented and bravest people you will ever know.
Mobile Career Center Activity
Students will create a paper airplane with functional flaps and Students will practice putting on fire safety gear and equipment, and will learn about fire safety. This module is being expanded to include EMT with a child-sized dummy. A sample video of the class completing a “Door Breach”
